HEAD OF HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND HEAD SWIMMING COACH

My favourite things about working here is the people of MLC – the students, staff and parents.

Most teachers find themselves encouraged and uplifted by the little joys that accompany working with children. MLC is no different. You cherish the questions they ask, the stories they tell and the funny things they say. The smiles and laughter keep you going and remind you of why you became a teacher in the first place.

I’m very fortunate to work with such amazing people. My staff are passionate, hardworking and most importantly wonderful, caring human beings. They constantly inspire me. We all pride ourselves on being adaptive and inclusive given our focus on differentiation at MLC. Our new MLC/Christ Church Grammar School Aquatic Precinct allows us to cater for all levels of ability in swimming. We have multilingual instructors, instructors specifically trained for students with disabilities and coaches with elite competitive coaching accreditationsI have upskilled our coaches and teachers with PLD on the basics of swimming.

I have always had a passion for sport and when I was very young (seven years of age), I asked my father if a job existed where I could play sport for a living. He replied Physical Education teaching, and from that moment on, I knew what my profession would be.

My hobbies are wood working and camping. I’m very passionate about my golf and play every Saturday morning and I swim three times a week to keep active.
