High-Performance Sporting Pathways

At MLC, we believe sport plays a vital role in supporting student wellbeing and developing essential life skills such as resilience, confidence and initiative. Research shows that girls who stay engaged in sport are more likely to take on leadership roles and experience professional success later in life. That’s why we’re committed to fostering sporting opportunities that promote both participation and performance from Junior Years right through to graduation.

At MLC, we don’t just want girls to play sport — we want them to stay in sport. And to do this, they need to be supported every step of the way.

High-Performance Sports Prizes

To support our students who compete at an elite level and inspire them to continue their sporting journey beyond school, MLC awards High-Performance Sports Prizes each year starting from 2026.

Established with the support of the College and our generous donors, the prizes help offset the costs associated with high-level training and competition such as travel, coaching and equipment.

Applications for 2026 Sports Prizes are now closed.
