Outdoor Education

Our Outdoor and Environmental Education (OEE) program is one of a kind. With a focus on connections, conservation, culture and creativity, our students have the unique opportunity to venture out and experience nature in a safe and comfortable environment. The chance to slow down from their usual fast paced lifestyle, value is placed on where we are rather than the activity we are doing.

Creative Classrooms

Stepping into Western Australia’s outback, our aim is to create and nurture positive relationships with the natural world. Through considered program design, we provide consistent positive and personal experiences in the outdoors as we explore with purpose and develop an awareness and connection to WA’s unique landscapes. All MLC OEE trips are intrinsically linked to Indigenous history, teaching sustainable living practices and equipping the girls with comprehensive outdoor camping skills.

From Years 3 to 9, every girl participates in an annual year level Outdoor and Environmental Education camp as part of our curriculum, while students in Years 9 to 12 can also take part in our OEE Extension Programs. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where each of our programs take place. We look forward to respectfully spending time on country and recognise their ongoing connection to land, waters and culture.
