The MLC Council is the governing body of the College, vested by the Uniting Church Synod.
The Council is responsible for providing a broad and balanced high quality education in an environment consistent with the values and ethos of the Church.
Council Members are appointed based on their expertise, qualifications and experience to enhance business and affairs, as well as ensure compliance.
Our Principal, Dr Marie Perry, is delegated responsibility to lead MLC. She works closely with Council to deliver the intent of school's Vision, Mission, Values and Strategic Plan.

PROFESSOR JONATHAN CARAPETIS AM MBBS FRACP FRACO FAFPHM
Professor Carapetis is the Director of the Telethon Kids Institute in Perth, Western Australia. He holds separate qualifications as a medical practitioner (MBBS), specialist paediatrician (FRACP Paediatrics), specialist infectious diseases physician (FRACP Infect Dis), and specialist public health physician (FAFPHM), as well as a PhD. Previous positions include Director of the Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin, Director of the Centre for International Child Health at the University of Melbourne, and Theme Director at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne. He is an infectious diseases consultant physician at the Perth Children’s Hospital and is a Professor at the University of Western Australia. Member of the Strategic Planning Committee. Father of two MLC students.

Research Professor and National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia Senior Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia. President International Society for Heart Research (ISHR; Australasian Section), Executive Member ISHR World Council, Executive Member Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Scientific Committee, Executive Member of The Heart Foundation of Australia Research Committee, Secretary and Founding Director of Australian Cardiovascular Alliance. Member of the Strategic Planning Committee. Educated at Ravenswood School for Girls, Sydney, a Uniting Church school. School Captain of Ravenswood School for Girls in 1981. Member of Nedlands Uniting Church. Mother of a current MLC student.

Director of public and private companies with a 25-year career spanning senior executive positions in the mining and resources, construction, building materials, logistics, agriculture and health industries. Formerly Chief Development Officer at Hancock Prospecting and Business Development at BHP Billiton Iron Ore. John is Chair of the Strategic Asset Management and Planning Committee and a member of the MLC Foundation Investment Committee and Board. Father of a current MLC student.

Managing Partner and co-founder of Resource Capital Funds, former natural resources sector banker with N.M. Rothschild (Australia and in the U.S.), former natural resources sector banker with Standard Chartered Bank, Chair of Methodist Ladies' College Foundation (Inc) since 2012, member of the Strategic Planning Committee. Husband to a MLC Collegian and Father of two MLC Collegians.

Previously Senior Consultant, Barrington Consulting Group, and Consultant/Analyst at Churchill Consulting. Former President, West Australian Music (WAM) and Chairman, Primary Care WA. Completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme and the Australian Institute of Company Directors Company Directors Course. Chair of the MLC Strategic Planning Committee and member of the Governance Committee. Father of a current MLC student.
