Teacher of Humanities and Social Sciences

Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 12-Months Fixed Term

Commencing Term 3 2019 (with the possibility of an earlier Term 2 commencement to be confirmed)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced teacher of Humanities and Social Sciences for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month fixed term position commencing Term 3 2019, covering parental leave for an existing staff member.  

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications;
  • Considerable evidence of progress towards achieving Highly Accomplished teacher status, in accordance with the AITSL standards;
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence in Year 11 Economics essential;
  • Highly developed analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build excellent relationships with staff, students, parents, general public and professional networks;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • The ability to work collaboratively as a team member and independently; and
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
