Teacher of Inclusive Learning (English)

Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Commencing Term 2 2018

(Fixed Term in 2018, with the possibility of a part-time, ongoing position in 2019)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced teacher of Inclusive Learning for a full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed term position commencing in Term 2 2018 (start date negotiable). You will work within the Inclusive Learning Department to collaboratively plan and write student plans with teachers and support students in core areas across Years 8-12, with a particular focus on English. You will also teach a Year 10 English class.

Inclusive Learning at MLC encompasses learning support, enrichment and extension. You will be able to demonstrate significant experience working with students with diverse learning needs, and in supporting learners to be successful.

All applicants must be registered to teach in Western Australia, hold a National Police Clearance (less than 12 months old) and a current Working with Children Check card.

Education Administrator (Senior Years)

Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Fixed Term (Semester 2 2018)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Administrator for a full-time, fixed term position covering long service leave during Semester 2 2018 (July – December 2018). The Education Administrator works closely with the Assistant Principal 7-12, and Staff and Student Services, and is responsible for ensuring that a consistent and reliable experience is achieved for all stakeholders. As an administrative support role across all MLC services, the occupant will assist the Assistant Principal Years 7 – 12 and Staff and Student Services Office Manager to provide exceptional service to students, parents and staff. Prior knowledge and/or experience working with TA in an educational setting is highly desirable.

Uniform Shop Assistant

Part-Time (0.35 FTE), Fixed Term 2018

Applications are sought from proactive and customer focused individuals with a demonstrated commitment to exemplary front line retail sales and customer service. This position is part-time, and currently requires two full days per week (8.00am – 4.00pm, Tuesday and Wednesday during term time, with some additional work required prior to Term 1 commencement and after Term 4 conclusion for stocktake, preparation and administrative purposes). 

The successful candidate will possess: 

  • Demonstrated prior retail sales experience, and/or experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build excellent relationships with staff, students, and parents;
  • The ability to be flexible, multi-task and work well under pressure;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail;
  • The ability and initiative to work collaboratively as a team member, and independently; and

Casual Educators (Certificate III and Diploma)

We are seeking applications from experienced and enthusiastic Early Learning Centre Certificate III and Diploma qualified Educators for casual positions in our Early Learning Centre. The Early Learning Centre provides dedicated care for children aged 6 months to 3 years of age.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Certificate III in Children's Services, or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, as per ACECQA guidelines;
  • Demonstrated prior experience in an Early Childhood setting;
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years' Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS);
  • A current Working with Children Check card and National Police Clearance (less than 12 month's old); and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
