Vacancy

Early Childhood Teacher, Room Leaders and Educators

Positions commencing January 2018

MLC, Claremont is seeking applications from experienced and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teachers, Room Leaders and Educators for our new Early Learning Centre (ELC), opening in January 2018. The ELC will provide dedicated care for children from 6 months to 3 years of age.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) - 1 Position

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification;
  • Demonstrated experience in an Early Childhood care setting;
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS);
  • A current Working with Children Check card and National Police Clearance (less than 12 month's old); and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Room Leaders - Multiple Positions

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent qualification;
  • Demonstrated experience in an Early Childhood care setting;
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS);
  • A current Working with Children Check card and National Police Clearance (less than 12 month's old); and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

Educators - Multiple Positions

  • A Certificate III in Children's Services, or Diploma in Early Childhood Education; 
  • Demonstrated experience in an Early Childhood care setting;
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS);
  • A current Working with Children Check card and National Police Clearance (less than 12 month's old); and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

MLC will offer successful candidates competitive rates and benefits, low child to caregiver ratios, and professional support in a warm and respectful environment.

Candidates must have the flexibility to work a 38-hour week, with 7.5 hour shifts across the span of hours from 6.30am to 6.30pm weekdays, on a mixed, fixed and rotating roster with early, middle and late shift obligations.
