Join us at the Pingelly Country Collective

We warmly invite our community to join us at the Pingelly Country Collective on Saturday 24 April.

We are delighted to be a part of this inaugural event, held at the Pingelly Recreation and Cultural Centre (PRACC). The day will feature the Pingelly Shears, Sheep Dog Trials, Market Stalls and music-making workshops run by MLC staff and students. A performance by our MLC Jazz Orchestra and a special Country Chorus concert by MLC musicians and students from schools across the region will also be a part of the day’s festivities. This unique and entertaining event is set to be a fun-filled day out for the whole family.

Watch the video below to hear more about the event and how excited our MLC girls are to be a part of it.

MLC Country Chorus

We are proud to have launched an exciting and innovative MLC initiative in the Pingelly area; a musical collaboration with communities and schools.

Students from schools across the region have been learning a range of songs with the support of MLC Director of Music Robert Faulkner during their Term 1 curriculum. The students will come together on Saturday 24 April at the Pingelly Country Collective to create the Country Chorus and perform together in a special concert with MLC’s Chorale and Symphony Orchestra.

This concert will be a unique opportunity for students from the area to perform as a collective and share in the joy of music with our MLC students.

If you would like to find out more about the Country Chorus or how you can get involved, please view this flyer or contact our Communications and Engagement team at mlccommunity@mlc.wa.edu.au.
