Methodist Ladies' College First Eight held on for a nail-biting end to the IGSSA Head of the River 2014.

The crew crossed the line 0.18 seconds ahead of the favourites, Presbyterian Ladies' College, but had to wait for the judges to call it.

The crew looked as thought they had been pipped at the post, but were overjoyed when the announcement was made.

The wins comes exactly 20 years after MLC won their first Head of the River.
