Outdoor Audio System
This purchase would enable greater scope for additional student activities and performances in a variety of locations including the Great Court. The system has endless functionality that could be applied to invigorate college spirit at the commencement of each day, integrate with emergency procedures and remove event hire costs for equipment for a multitude of large scale college events.
Opened as an Assembly Hall in 1918 and then converted to a chapel in 1960, using funds raised in large by the Parents and Friends Association, this unique facility has been the centre of many special MLC occasions. To enable its architectural features to shine, and provide a light filled space, the deteriorated skylight panels need to be replaced.
Occupations in science, technology, engineering and mathematics continue to increase faster than any other industry. The upgrade of two general purpose classrooms located in the science precinct to allow for the delivery of more hands-on experiences and to provide flexible work spaces will engage students, increase performance results and develop skills to become the STEM leaders of the future. Suitable flooring, stainless steel work spaces and access to utilities will advance these learning environments to further meet the STEM opportunities for all students.
