Assistant Director of Boarding

Boarding is an immersive environment, not just for the girls but also for the staff, so it becomes a way of life more than it is a job. The best part about my role here at MLC is the sense of community and the inclusive nature that is present within our Boarding House. Something people don’t often stop to think about is that boarding is a twenty-four-hour operation, so it requires a certain level of energy as no two days are ever the same and time never stands still. The thing that really does make this job special is when you see the girls happy to walk through the front doors after holidays with a smile on their face, ready to reconnect with their boarding family. The most rewarding part of working in boarding at any level is watching the girls grow and develop and knowing you have somehow played a role in that.
