MLC Foundation Community Scholarship

About the MLC Foundation Community Scholarship

The MLC Foundation Community Scholarship (MLCFCS) is being offered for the second time in 2022, after the MLC Foundation's inaugural Community Scholarship was offered in 2021. Made possible by the generosity of the MLC community, this year the MLC Foundation Community Scholarship provides an opportunity for a girl to join the College whose financial circumstances would otherwise prevent her from receiving an MLC education.

The scholarship commences in 2023 - and applications are now open!

Commencing in Year 7, 2023, it offers 100% remission from tuition fees and agreed on-costs for a day girl from Years 7 through to Year 12.

The recipient of the scholarship will embrace and model the values of Methodist Ladies’ College, have a sound academic record, a commitment to community service learning and participation in co-curricular activities. It is not an academic scholarship - it is a life-changing opportunity for the recipient, her family, her community, and complements MLC’s ethos and commitment to creating social change and making a fairer future for girls. In consultation with the recipient's family, the name of the MLC Foundation Community Scholar may remain private.

College Excellence

MLC students excel across all areas of our holistic programme, from core academic courses to co-curricular activities and service-learning opportunities. Such diverse experiences are the basis of a well-rounded education. We proudly celebrate all of our Year 12 students and note those who achieve at the highest levels.
