Our community came together to watch a movie under the stars on the Great Court. Kids and parents got involved in the pre-movie drum circle before laying back and enjoying The Lion King.

Heather Lamont Festival

Our Years 7-11 girls created, designed, performed and supported one another during a special festival which celebrates the arts. Named after Collegian Heather Lamont, the cultural day allows our girls to participate in a range of activities, step outside their comfort zones and encourage and cheer on their peers as they compete for their Houses.

Japan Study Tour

September 2019

A group of our students visited Japan during the September holidays. The girls took part classes at Kobe College and were immersed in Japanese culture throughout their stay.

​Camino Salvado

September 2019

A group of our Year 9s walked from Subiaco to New Norcia, following the footsteps of Spanish Monk Dom Rosendo Salvado who founded the town. The girls made their way through the city, beautiful parks, forests and farmland before arriving at the New Norcia church.

Year 7 Outdoor Education Camp

September 2019

Our Year 7 students had an amazing time bushwalking, caving, canoeing and doing a high ropes course while learning about leadership and teamwork during their outdoor education experience.

Thailand Conservation Service Trip

September 2019

Our girls had the opportunity to experience an up close and personal week with the elephants on the Thailand Elephant Conservation service tour. They have returned with amazing knowledge and stories of the gentle giants and a greater understanding of Thai culture.

The Athletics Carnival was a day of creative House themes, epic costumes, team spirit, fun, running, jumping and throwing. Corinth won the House count overall and Olympia came away with the Spirit Cape.

Head of the River Regatta

Our MLC rowers had a wonderful 2019 season, culminating in the Head of the River regatta and dinner. The girls worked so hard and showed incredible team spirit during every training session and regatta.

Meet the Leaders

An incredible group of leaders from our community spent the afternoon inspiring our Year 11s at our inaugural Meet the Leaders event. The whole cohort took part in a number of unique ‘speed mentoring’ sessions with the leaders where they were able to speak to them in small groups and learn about leadership from their varied experiences.

Sports Week

June 2019

Sports Week featured lunchtime activities such as mini races on the Great Court, a student vs staff netball match, Zumba and an aerobics-themed free dress. Throughout the week the girls collected recycled sports equipment and raised funds for Fairgame, which delivers fitness programmes and equipment to remote and under-serviced communities.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Our community came together for a cuppa and some cake on the Great Court in support of the Cancer Council. The Parents of MLC hosted our ‘Bee Your Best Self’ themed Biggest Morning Tea.

House Splash or Dash

Our girls raised an incredible $55,000 for the Aquatic Precinct through the House Splash or Dash by running or swimming for their Houses. Every girl participated and every donation truly made a difference.

Be Your Best Self Assembly

A special visitor joined our girls at a whole-school assembly where Dr Perry reminded our girls of her theme for the year: ‘Be Your Best Self’. Each girl received their own pin to wear as a symbol of their individuality and a reminder to always be themselves.

New Zealand and Fiji Netball and Hockey Sports Tour

A group of our Netball and Hockey players visited New Zealand and Fiji where they competed against other school teams, took part in specialist coaching sessions with international players and enjoyed unique cultural experiences in both countries.

China Cultural Tour

Our China Tour students took part in an immersive cultural and language experience across the country.

We welcomed back Collegians whose daughters and granddaughters have started their own MLC journeys in 2019. The Collegians' Association hosted a beautiful breakfast for the students to meet one another and Collegians to reconnect. Each new student was presented with a special Wyvern pin to signify their family connection to the College.
