MLC Young Artists Prize

Back by popular demand, the MLC Art Exhibition will be held from 17 to 22 August 2019. The best of WA’s emerging and established artists will showcase their pieces, including jewellery, ceramics, paintings, photographs and sculptural works.

In a MLC first, we are also introducing the Young Artists Prize, a competition open to students, currently in Years 1–6. The theme for this competition is ‘Secret Powers’ which coincides with the 2019 Book Week theme.

We encourage students from all schools to enter for the chance to win a $250 grant towards their school’s art programme, as well as an amazing art hamper.

A selection of the competition artwork will be on display as part of the Exhibition, and the prize winners will be announced on the afternoon of Saturday 17 August. This will be a fabulous community event with arts and crafts, face painting and refreshments for sale.

The MLC Art Exhibition will be open to the public each day from 10am-3pm from 17 to 22 August.

Entry is free and proceeds from sales at the MLC Art Exhibition will support the arts at MLC.
