The MLC Foundation
The MLC Foundation was established in 1998 with the sole aim of creating a culture of philanthropy within MLC's community of current parents, past students and other friends of the College.
The role of the MLC Foundation is to assist the College Council to develop and maintain excellence in education at Methodist Ladies' College.
Today the College continues its commitment; to deliver excellence in life-long learning achievements, equipping our girls to embrace every opportunity and take their rightful place in the global community.Yet very real challenges face educational institutions today, the imperative to be competitive, to be the stand-out choice. Choice is of course predicated on a range of criteria - reputation, academic record, engendering a sense of community - delivering a holistic education as well as resources, facilities and opportunities. Choice today is becoming more and more about what is available, right now.
Over the years, progressive plans for the future development of the campus have been realised as a result of skillful and prudent financial management by MLC Foundation. This has maximised the security and growth of investments. However, future campus development will rely on philanthropy and fundraising as a result of Foundation strategies.

Through donations, gifts, and sponsorship, your support of Partnering for their Future is vital for the College to continue to provide the very best education by delivering the best resources, facilities and opportunities for its students.
Creating Opportunities for the MLC Community
The Foundation recently spearheaded several initiatives which promote greater involvement of parents in the lives of their girls at school and to better enable the development of valuable friendships and networks among the MLC community. Furthermore, these initiatives provide students with opportunities to engage with their parents and benefit from exposure to role models and professional networks.
Bequests
Benefactors can choose to support MLC by way of contributing to the College's Bequest Program. This enables benefactors to help the College in the future, without drawing on their assets today. Bequests ensure that the educational values of MLC will live on through future generations. MLC community members who support the College know that their gift will be of immense benefit to current students and the Foundation is proud to thank and recognise its donors.
