Methodist Ladies' College actively encourages involvment in, and appreciation of, the Arts.

The range of opportunities offered is extensive and includes art, craft, design, debating, public speaking, choral and instrumental music, drama and dance of various forms.

The Junior and Senior Schools both stage an annual Arts Festival. In addition, students, parents and the wider community look forward to and enjoy many annual events such as a major Senior School theatrical production; a Junior School concert; a variety of minor theatrical performances; a Dance Festival, a range of music performances and a Singing, Drama and Mime Interhouse competition. The latter activity involves all students and is produced and directed entirely by students.

Music is taught throughout the school. There are choirs at all levels and an exciting range of instrumental ensembles.

Theatre Arts opportunities are available to all students. The program is broad and includes drama, dance, mime and clowning as well as the opportunity to develop skills in directing, producing and all aspects of staging a production, including make-up, set design, construction and lighting.
