MLC student shares the stage with extraodinary women
Year 4 Methodist Ladies' College student Rachel Gower is in many ways like any other nine year-old girl; she keeps busy playing hockey, swimming and diving, and she enjoys acting. Rachel has overcome displacia of her hips and she lives with dyslexia and juvenile diabetes. But don't feel sorry for her - Rachel is very quick to point out that she is 'normal'.

Wonderful Watermelon a Winner
Methodist Ladies' College Year 5 student Kate Ivey's three-dimensional chair maquette, Wonderful Watermelon, was declared a winner in the primary category of the Art Gallery of Western Australia Design Challenge.
Sixty MLC Year 5 students took part in the innovative Art Gallery project to design a functional chair or seat for one adult. The designs were judged on aesthetics, originality, ergonomics, function and practicality, as well as structure.
MLC students achieve Ivy League status
Methodist Ladies' College graduates from the Class of 2008 have made new ground in securing offers from a number of top-tier colleges in the United States.
Acting Principal Yvonne Palmer said 2008 dux Sonya Chu and fellow high-achieving graduate Nicole Teow had laid down the gauntlet and demonstrated MLC provides a world-class education which, combined with commitment and hard work, enables students access to the very best universities .
Health and Sports Centre next campus development
Hot on the heels of the opening of a new purpose-built Middle School at Methodist Ladies' College this year, MLC is pleased to accelerate delivery of a new Health and Sports Centre with the support of $2.5 million in Federal Government funding.
Announced as part of the Government's Building the Education Revolution program, Chair of MLC Council, Emeritus Professor Lesley Parker said the funding would help fulfil the College's progressive campus development plans and ensure the best resources were available for its students.
