Parents' Association
The charter of the Parents' Association (formerly the Parents' and Friends' Association) is to provide the MLC College Community with social, financial and physical support. The PA facilitates and encourages interaction between parents and the Leadership Team of the College.
Funds are obtained by the PA primarily through voluntary parent subscription. All funds raised are spent on campus facilities, professional development and student development projects within the College.
All parents from Kindergarten to Year 12 are automatically members of the PA and are welcome to attend any meeting throughout the year. The meetings are generally held on Monday evenings of each month at 7.30pm in the College Meeting Room or Café. Dates are published in the College Calendar. The 2009 Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 24 March at 7.30pm.
Ongoing Projects
The Parents' Association is actively involved in the development of campus facilities. Personal Development Grants for Staff, Speech Night prizes, the Welcome Sundowner and the compilation and updating of parent guidelines such as the MLC Party Policy.
Meetings
Parents' Association meetings are usually held on Monday evenings at 7.30pm in the College Meeting Room.
