Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to deserving students to facilitate their attendance at Methodist Ladies' College. These awards acknowledge and reward the strengths of applicants, and take into account the potential to contribute creatively to the wider service of the community. We seek students committed to the values and ethos of the College who will participate fully in College life.

The College does not award full scholarships. Rather than compete only for the few outstanding academic students, our philosophy is to attract and support those students drawn to the Methodist Ladies' College becasue of the special qualities of education and community life that it offers.

One student may not hold more than one scholarship at any one time, and sister/Collegian discounts will not apply to scholarship holders.

The College participates in the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) Scholarships Testing Program. Testing programs are conducted at appropriate levels for entry to the College at Year 7, Year 8 and Year 10 levels.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the examination, review of recent school reports and an interview.
