MLC - 'The School of Choice for Girls'

Methodist Ladies' College was founded in 1907. It opened with just 54 students and now enrols approximately 1070 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, including approximately 100 boarders.

We seek to nurture, encourage, challenge and educate girls and young women to be active and responsible contributors to society. We believe we have succeeded when a girl leaves Methodist Ladies' College as a confident young person, eager and competent to take full advantage of the increasing number of options available to her beyond school.

Health and Sports Centre next development

Hot on the heels of the opening of a new purpose-built Middle School at Methodist Ladies' College this year, MLC is pleased to accelerate delivery of a new Health and Sports Centre with the support of $2.5 million in Federal Government funding.

Announced as part of the Government's Building the Education Revolution program the funding will help fulfil the College's progressive campus development plans and ensure the best resources are available for its students.

MLC has made a substantial investment in its forward-looking campus development plan which reaches to 2016 and delivers world-class learning and teaching facilities for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 .
